Nestor A. Cueto, P.E. (President)

Nestor A. Cueto, P.E., S.I., F.R.S.E., is a distinguished professional engineer with substantial expertise in structural engineering. Mr. Cueto serves as the President and Chief Engineer of Cueto Engineering, LLC, a firm he established in May 2012. He is adept in the comprehensive design, analysis, and inspection of structures composed of diverse materials such as concrete, steel, masonry, and timber, ensuring adherence to applicable codes and standards.

Mr. Cueto earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Florida State University. His professional qualifications are extensive, encompassing licenses as a Professional Engineer in both Florida and New York, as well as certifications as a Special Inspector, Florida Recognized Structural Engineer (FRSE), and Real Estate Sales Associate. Additionally, he holds a certification as a sUAS Remote Pilot from the Department of Transportation – Federal Aviation Administration.

Prior to his establishing Cueto Engineering, Mr. Cueto gained valuable experience at renowned engineering firms where he specialized in structural engineering related to nuclear power and waste treatment facilities.

His technical acumen extends to forensic engineering inspections, providing expert witness testimony, evaluating structural integrity, and leading project coordination efforts. Mr. Cueto is deeply committed to continuous professional enhancement, as evidenced by his pursuit of advanced training in areas such as structural and forensic engineering, wind-resistant design, and seismic design.

Mr. Cueto is fluently bilingual in English and Spanish, and proficient in a multitude of engineering software tools. He is an active member of several professional societies, including the American Concrete Institute (ACI), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC). His leadership and commitment to the engineering community are highlighted by his past roles within these organizations.
