This new high-rise building in Miami, FL will be constructed with interior and exterior CMU non-load bearing walls that require top-of-wall connections using dovetail anchors. The Contractor is required by the construction documents to have a delegated professional engineer prepare calculations to provide qualification of the proposed anchors and spacing.
On this project, Cueto Engineering has developed a set of calculations based on the design wind pressures to evaluate the required spacing of the anchors along the CMU walls throughout the building.
